Our Executive Coaches are engaging, empathic, pragmatic and highly focussed. Our ability to really connect with individuals helps create strong, confidence building relationships enabling real learning and change.

We have an impressive track record of coaching senior leaders in a wide variety of sectors, providing them with a safe, non-judgemental place in which to explore their challenges, focus on their development and to achieve the changes they want to make.

We ensure our clients receive not only support, but also the meaningful challenge they need to critically reflect on the agendas they bring to coaching. Clients are really stretched to raise their levels of self-awareness, gain different perspectives and a greater understanding as to what is really going on beneath the surface. We are highly skilled in drawing key insights from the client’s ‘story’, helping them identify key themes and any barriers to achieving their full potential allowing them to work through these to achieve a clear sense of direction and plan for the future.

Our coaching is underpinned by sound coaching principles, knowledge and training in a range of coaching models/approaches (e.g. Positive Psychology and Cognitive Behavioural Coaching) along with well validated tools and techniques. Our coaches are trained in a number of psychometric and 360° tools, which can be incorporated into a coaching programme, where appropriate.

We do not believe there is a ‘one size fits all’ approach and recognise that different individuals need different things from a Coach. We really tune into, and meet, the client’s requirements in terms of our style and approach, level of challenge, pace of the 1:1 sessions and any interventions we use.

Coaching agendas may include:

  • Understanding and more effectively using key strengths
  • Increasing leadership effectiveness
  • Developing emotional intelligence
  • Managing organisational change/transition
  • Managing challenging relationships
  • Building levels of self confidence
  • Resilience and well being
  • Finding meaning and purpose in work/life
  • Operating more strategically
  • Career development; thinking about the future

Our coaching programmes are flexible, to meet the needs of both the individual and the organisation, however a typical programme would comprise:

A short introductory session (usually over the ‘phone) for the Coach to get an initial feel for the individual’s context and coaching goals. This also provides an opportunity for the Coachee to understand the Coach’s style and approach. This conversation provides an essential ‘chemistry check’, ensuring that both parties feel comfortable working together.

Contracting between the Coach, Coachee and programme Sponsor/individual’s line manager (if appropriate). This would involve discussing expectations and establishing key coaching objectives and desired outcomes.  In a ‘two-way’ contract, this is a confidential relationship between the Coach and the Coachee.

If the individual’s sponsor/manager is included in a ‘three-way’ meeting at the outset and on completion of coaching, then the content of the coaching sessions will remain totally confidential; progress against the agreed ‘public’ goals will be discussed (recognising that the Coachee may also have ‘private goals’ they want to work on with the Coach)

The coaching programme, determined by the client’s needs, however usually consisting of 6 x 2 hour coaching sessions, meeting every 4 – 6 weeks.

Ongoing support – telephone and e-mail support, which individuals can tap into between sessions if required

Constant evaluation – to review progress throughout and at the end of the coaching programme, ensuring the Coachee has  realistic and effective strategies for sustaining the changes they have achieved after the coaching has finished.
